SRCM – Shri Ram Chandra Mission, Satkhol Himalayan Ashram

An invitation into the profound silence, a sanctuary of peace and purity, Shri Ram Chandra Mission’s ashram at Satkhol in Uttarakhand is a sacred place in the hearts of followers of the Sahaj Marg system of spirituality. A visit to Satkhol can be a transformational journey, changing the lives of those who immerse themselves in its quiet and subtle atmosphere. Welcome, then, to a celebration of spirituality!

You will now be able to go to Satkhol in the months of July and August. Batches for this period will open on March 31, 2017. No batches will be available for the months of December and January

A heavenly atmosphere permeates the Satkhol ashram. Wherever one sits, the silence and stillness lead inward, toward a mystical exploration of the mind and deep states of meditation. After a few days, one feels totally absorbed in the atmosphere, and there is finally little difference between the state of meditation and that of performing all other simple, daily actions.

Consider why you are coming to the ashram. Remember that it is not a resort, but a place where your spiritual progress is supported by an environment that has been specially prepared to benefit your spiritual growth, a place for retreat and rejuvenation of the true Self.

If you come with a group or family, tell them about the purpose of your visit. Ask them to keep the environment pure and to respect the spiritual atmosphere. If you come with children, help them to appreciate the beauty and tranquillity of the place. Explain the purpose of your retreat. A natural sensitivity and awareness allow children to understand, and they will also benefit from the ashram atmosphere.
