We are located on the banks of the Kalsa river near a small village called Tada. This is near Chanfi, approx 12kms from Bhimtal. from the road it is an approx 150mtr walk down to the camp. The camp faces the river and has forest on 2 sides and village farms on one side. We have done minimal landscaping to give the experience of camping in the midst of nature with the sound of the flowing river in the background. We have two Geodesic Dome Tents and three Glamping Safari Tents with attached bathrooms and all amenities - proper beds, hot/cold water, tea/coffee maker etc.
Choose to go for walks in the surrounding forests, observe farming activities at the the neighbouring farms or just laze around near the river.. we warmly welcome you to experience the Glamping Tales Campsite ! From Delhi – 290 kms drive which takes nearly 06.00 hrs- 06.30 hrs (with 40mnts break in between). We recommend you to leave early from Delhi so that you can enjoy the breakfast on your way up and also you would avoid the regular morning office going traffic as well.
Overnight buses available from Anand Vihar till Haldwani. (uttarakhand Parivahan Nigam Buses being more reliable but you can also book the private bus operators through Redbus etc). Hire a taxi from Haldwani till the Glamping Tales which is nearly 35 kms drive (hrs 30 mnts drive). No driver accommodation is available within the retreat premises but in the vicinity, some accommodations are available for the drivers at chargeable basis.
Kathgodam is the nearest railhead. From Delhi, there are three trains available. Overnight train – Ranikhet Express, Early morning train – Shatabdi Express, Post noon train – Sampark Kranti. Taxis are available from Kathgodam as well.
Nearly 1.30 hrs drive from Kathgodam Railway Station to the Glamping Tales. Taxis are available.
From Delhi – There are some direct Flights are available from Delhi to Pantnagar airport, the closest to Glamping Tales.
From Mumbai or Bangalore – There are 3-4 weekly flights.
